Who we are

Retail Media Networks ApS (“RMN”, “we”) is the data controller for personal information collected through retailmedia.net and through direct correspondence with our team. Our registered office is at Bryghuspladsen 8, 1473 Copenhagen K, Denmark. You can reach us at hello@retailmedia.net.

What we collect

We collect only what is needed to do business with you:

• Contact form submissions. Your name, company, work email, indicative budget, preferred retailers, and a description of your campaign goals.
• Email correspondence. Anything you send us by email, plus our replies.
• Client and engagement data. For clients who engage us for services, the contact details of their representatives involved in the engagement (name, job title, work email, phone number) and any information they provide to enable us to perform the services.
• Server logs. Anonymised request logs for security and reliability: IP address, user agent, request path. Retained 30 days.

We do not use third-party tracking pixels, behavioural advertising cookies, or session-replay tools on this website.

Why we use it

We use the information you give us only to:

• Reply to your enquiry and scope a potential engagement.
• Plan and run retail media campaigns or deliver consulting services you have engaged us for.
• Coordinate and manage your engagement, including communicating with your team.
• Meet our legal obligations (accounting, tax, record-keeping).

We do not rent, sell, or trade your information. We do not enrol you in marketing lists without explicit opt-in.

Legal basis

Under the GDPR, our legal basis for processing is generally legitimate interest (responding to your enquiry and maintaining business relationships), contract (delivering services you have engaged us for), and legal obligation (record-keeping required by law).

Sharing

We share information only with parties who need it to deliver the service: retailers and publishers we are placing media with on your behalf, and essential service providers (email, cloud storage, accounting). All service providers who process personal data on our behalf are bound by data-processing agreements.

Where we process personal data on behalf of a client as a data processor (for example, accessing a client’s ad platforms or managing campaign contacts), that processing is governed by the Data Processing Agreement between us and the client, available at retailmedia.net/dpa.

Transfers outside the EEA

We process personal data within the European Economic Area wherever possible. Where we use service providers located outside the EEA, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place under Chapter V GDPR (such as the EU–U.S. Data Privacy Framework or Standard Contractual Clauses).

Retention

We keep personal data only as long as necessary:

• Server logs: 30 days.
• Contact form submissions and email correspondence: up to 24 months after last contact.
• Client representative data: duration of engagement plus 5 years.
• Records required by Danish bookkeeping law: 5 years, as required by Bogføringsloven.

Your rights

You have the right to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you.
• Have it corrected if it is inaccurate.
• Have it deleted, where we are not legally required to keep it.
• Object to processing, or ask us to restrict it.
• Receive your data in a portable format.
• Lodge a complaint with the Danish Data Protection Agency (Datatilsynet) at datatilsynet.dk.

Cookies

retailmedia.net uses strictly necessary cookies to work, such as the cookie that remembers your cookie choice. Analytics cookies (Google Analytics, and Cloudflare Stream for videos) and marketing cookies are only used if you accept them, and the legal basis for them is your consent. You can change or withdraw your consent at any time with the Change cookie settings button on the Legal page.

Our Cookie Policy lists each cookie, what it does and how long it lasts.

Changes

We may update this notice. Material changes will be reflected in the “Effective” date above, and material changes affecting people we already correspond with will be communicated by email.
